Nissin Zerosum Keikyokugi 530
Zerozum is the name given to Nissin’s flagship models and the Zerozum Keikyokugi 530 (aka “Keiki”) clearly lives up this designation by being an elite, top-of-the-line, technology infused Keiryu rod. If you want the best, the Keiki is the best. Nissin makes this rod with high-density 4-axis carbon that is more elastic and dense than conventional 4-axis carbon resulting in a very light but very strong rod. Case in point, at 4.06 oz, the Keiki is 21% lighter than the Yuyuzan.

Other features include:
Nissin’s proprietary TOUGHTOP solid tip section which features super high strength carbon resulting in superior bending qualities.
A revolutionary lillian made of stainless steel. The lillian rotates reducing tangles. Nissin also claims the lillian design improves sensitivity.
A soft touch grip that has a superior tactile quality to it. While the Yuyuzan’s handle has a traditional sandpaper feel to it, the Keiki’s handle almost feels like skin. It’s both very gripy and nice to the touch.
Now for the most important part….how does it feel? The Keiki has an RFI of 7.0 with CCS rating of 37 pennies. It is a fast action, stiff rod that is…exceptionally well balanced and agile. When you fish with the Keiki, you will, in short order, feel like a Keiryu master. The rod is so well balanced and has an agile, life of its own, quality to it. In fact, the Keiki inspires confidence unlike few other fishing tools I have ever used. Does this mean you will catch more fish? Maybe yes, maybe no, but make no doubt, fishing with this rod will be a joy in and of itself.

CASTING GUIDE
These are preliminary recommended casting techniques for this rod based on line and presentation used. As always, experiment and refine what works best for you. The Keiki excels with the Orbit Cast in virtually all situations. The Lob Cast also works very well and is worth using with lighter presentations (in these cases it is recommended to throw with more force).
